A recent rumor, from GameIndustry.biz, stating that the upcoming Legend of Zelda title ‘Twilight Princess', would be developed for Nintendo's next-generation ‘Revolution' console and not the current-gen GameCube.
The rumor began to emerge after the Zelda title failed to Nintendo's Quarter 1, 2006 release list. The game had previously been expected to ship in the 2005 holiday season. But after details of the game being pushed back to 2006 were announced. To “add some incredible new elements” to the game. The absence of the title appearing on the release list led many to speculate that the game would now be released in the format played on the Revolution console.
Following these rumors, Nintendo UK's public relations manager commented on the recent speculation, clearing up any misconceptions which anyone may have had previously. He stated that the company “always said The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will appear on Nintendo GameCube and this is still very much the case”.
Although that matter has been cleared up, there is still one question which fans are eager to know: “When will I be able to play it?” Unfortunately Nintendo has still not released any concrete release dates.
