APB

From the creator of the popular Grand Theft Auto franchise comes APB. The massively multiplayer gang warfare game. The game revolves around an ongoing turf war between the gangs and the law enforcers, referred to as the ‘squads’.

In February, plans were publicly announced, by the creator of the first GTA game, to create a new addition MMORPG genre. A new studio named ‘Real Time World’s Ltd.’, was to be formed by Scottish game designer David Jones. The studio’s first game would be All Points Bulletin (APB). The game would be a online RPG, set in "a highly volatile world filled with dramatic car chases, shootouts, busts, escapes, and arrests." Korean MMORPG publisher Webzen signed on to publish the game.

News of a console version of the game was only recently found out, as the title was originally set to be for the PC. Jones, sealed a deal with Microsoft to develop numerous games for it’s next-gen console, the Xbox 360.

Webzen and RTW announced that, yes, APB will be released for the Xbox 360 in 2008. 1 year after the PC version ships. Webzen CEO Nam Ju Kim "We are confident APB will take full advantage of Xbox 360's impressive capabilities".
The game will be Webzen’s second for the 360, it’s current project ‘Huxley’ is due out on the 360 too.
