Metronome

"Welcome to Metronome, a unique third person adventure game where sound is your weapon."
Developed by Team Tarsier, Metronome is a next gen title for the Xbox 360, PC and the up coming PS3. The game seems to give off a dark and Tim Burton like feel, with wide-ranging, haphazardly built dwellings and huge steam engines where the outlandish inhabitants are carrying their lives day and night.
The City is dictated by "The Corporation", a single beaucratic entity that owns the city, the citizens, and its industries.
You will explore winding alleys, skewed rooftops and crowded apartment buildings as you search for proof of the Corporations secret agenda, all while listening for sounds to record.
The interesting gameplay element the game utilizes is to record sounds and use them for various things during the game such as fighting enemies and solving problems/puzzles. Also, through the right usage of certain sounds you can confuse citizens, seduce them, or just change their mood and behavior.
Team Tarsier describes the storyline along the lines of the "question your surroundings or world" type of game. You ask questions like: who and what are you? Why is this city in continuous labor? And is the Corporation really out to help the people of Metronome?
The game shows potential with eerie visuals and imaginative gameplay. Metronome seems like it will satisfy PS3 and Xbox 360 owners alike and provide a new refreshing look into next gen gaming.
