Dark Sector

Dark Sector , a next gen title and PC game, was recently signed to be published by D3Publisher of America.

This third-person shooter is being developed for release in 2007 by Canadian-based Digital Extremes, co-creators of the Unreal franchise.

You play as a modern-day superhero named Hayden Tenno, who gains the ability to morph into dramatically different combat forms. Set in the crumbling infrastructure of a fictional Soviet-bloc country in the near future, the game features both single and multi-player action, with players working their way through a world where bio-weapons are no longer science experiments.

Your character has many skills and gadgets to allow him to lurk amongst the dark as well as the ablitlty to become invisible to robotic scanning machinery. He can also put up bullet blocking force fields and use telekinesis to steal an enemy's weapon. Hayden Tenno also can dual wield pistols and take advantage of the games Matrix like bullet time effect.

There is talk that the games soundtrack will include eerie and atmospheric sounds; from creaking metal floors to loud machinery. The dark space ship environment will be full of moving shadows and ambient sound effects.

The game looks to be a promising title and was recently announced to be a PS3 launch title.
