F.E.A.R sequel confirmed for PS3
By: Justin Pinter

Monolith, the developers who gave us the spooky Xbox 360 launch game Condemned, and F.E.A.R (First Encounter Assault and Recon) have revealed that sequels to the FPS are currently underway for PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.

Monolith, however, will not be working with publisher Vivendi Universal this time around. They have announced that Warner will be their new partner, and because Vivendi owned the F.E.A.R brand, the name of the franchise may change. Nevertheless, this should not result in a change in storyline or characters, as Monolith owns the I.P.

F.E.A.R. has won many awards including “The Best Action Game of E3 2005”, and although Monolith hasn’t made a firm announcement regarding the game emerging on the next-gen consoles, a staff member at Yahoo Video Games noticed the following job announcement on Monolith's website, “new game-play systems for a high-profile AAA 1st-person action game on the Xbox 360 and PS3.”

This would be a great addition to the already impressive game line up for both Xbox360 and the PS3.
